The Oscar Valladares 2012 Barber Pole is a beautiful and unique cigar that catches the eye with its elegant and intricate dual wrapper. The flavors are complex, yet balanced, providing a truly enjoyable smoking experience. The combination of the Ecuadorian Sumatra and the Honduran Candela wrapper creates a unique flavor profile that stands out in a sea of other cigars. The cigar is medium to full-bodied with notes of cedar, pepper, and a creamy sweetness that complements the spicy notes perfectly.

Oscar Valladares’ 2012 series is a bit of an oddity in the cigar world. It’s the only series I know of that was designed to commemorate an end of the world prediction that never happened… but still somehow popular enough to earn a beloved candela barber pole 7 years later. The blend sounds interesting with this one. It uses a combination Candela (green) and Mexican San Andres braided wrapper leaf that I hope produces a unique and complex flavor profile. And the only way to find out is with a cut and a light.

I recently had the chance to try the Oscar Valladarez 2012 Barber Pole, and I have to say, it was a really enjoyable smoke.

First of all, the appearance of this cigar is really striking. The barber pole design is really unique, and it makes the cigar stand out in any humidor or cigar shop. It’s also a really well-made cigar, with a smooth wrapper and a solid construction that felt great in my hand.

The pre-light aroma was really pleasant, with some notes of spice and earthiness that got me excited to light it up. And once I did, I was impressed by the initial flavors that hit my palate. There were some notes of pepper and cedar, with a nice creaminess that added some depth to the smoke.

As the cigar burned, I found that the flavors mellowed out a bit, but the creamy texture remained. I also started to pick up some nutty notes and a subtle sweetness that made for a really enjoyable smoking experience.

Overall, I think the Oscar Valladarez 2012 Barber Pole is a great choice for anyone looking for a unique, well-made cigar with a great flavor profile. It’s a medium-bodied smoke that’s perfect for any time of day, and it’s definitely one that I’ll be reaching for again in the future.
